Win An SIM Free HTC Touch Pro : Omio Giveaway!
Omio was the very first website with an unboxing video of the HTC Touch Pro. Then we added a video review, a second video review, a Q&A session, photographs from every conceivable angle, a live interactive webcast and - to cap it all - a full text review.
To commemorate this landmark event in Omio’s history we are giving you a chance to win this year’s hottest handset (if you love Windows Mobile): the original Touch Pro with its lovely high-res screen, GPS, accelerometer and fantastic slidey-out keyboard!
All you need to do is register as a user on Omio and write a review of your current handset! If you’re lucky enough to already be a member of Omio, simply add a review of your mobile on the relevant handset page, whether you love or loathe it.
Be sure to stick your name in the entrants thread in our forum too, just so we know who’s involved in the big competition!
Our only rules are that we would like it to be your own work (no stealing), be of significant length (no haikus), and be of an acceptable quality (no spammy spam). That’s it!
The competition closes on Monday 15th December and is open to all and sundry! Join Omio here!
UPDATE: The competition is now closed, and a winner drawn! Check here to see the results of who won the HTC Touch Pro!

Well currently I’m using a HTC S620 which is not a device, as a big HTC fan as I have been for several years this device gives all the tools for the job. However it does sometimes appear to be a little dull, after using a Tytn II for 6 months with Touchscreen and a great user interface and a stunning design the s620 just does not have that sex appeal for a phone. The keypad is great (if you have pointy fingers and but the size and weight is great. Looking forward though to getting my hands on the Touch Pro which for sure has the looks and style of a stunning device.
What’s the criteria for the winner? The best review? Or a random pick?
It will be a random selection from all the entries we receive!
Considering we’ve got 8 entries so far, you will have a one in nine chance of getting a Touch Pro if you submit one!
You’ve GOT to like those odds…
Where exactly should I write my review?
Where do I begin……..
I am currently using the Instinct from sprint. The phone is o.k. The Internet isn’t as fast as I would like, also there is no applications to use with my phone.I switched to this phone from my pocket p.c from sprint(6700). It gave me alot of problems but I can’t help but reminise about my p.c. What I liked about it was the many options you could use to control email, text, phone calls, etc…
On a scale from 1-10, I give it a 6. I guess once you go smart phone (pocket pc)things are never the same.
Thanks Ernest. Now, my next question. If I want to review my current phone (HTC S710) but it’s not in your database, what do I do?
Never fear Jon! I shall add it into the database, and you shall have a place for your review. Get it ready to upload, as the S710 page will be up in a jiffy!
Im currently using the HTC Touch Dual but it is my 4th HTC phone. The touch dual is a good phone and is slightly better than the TyTnII that I also have. I prefer the touch dual due to the HTC home screen but the rest is the same as the TyTnII. its an incredibly easy phone to use and the touch screen is very receptive. i got it as liked the phone to have a keypad other than touch screen but find i very rarely use it due to the user friendly onscreen keyboard…even man fingers can use it easily!! Im looking for a touch pro now but Orange have apparently decided not to stock it in favour of, IMHO, the inferior diamond (boo hiss lol)Maybe I’ll have to get one on another site!! or the Touch 3G??
Ive been using the Blackjack 2 for about 6 months and i think its great. It is a compact, stylish Windows Mobile 6 smart phone with (3G) high speed data is has defiantly improved on battery life from the last blackjack. The center mounted jog wheel makes it very easy to navigate and scroll. The only thing i would change are the keys. They are a little small and a little slippery. They display is also kinda small for a smart phone. All in all my Blackjack is a good phone, but i cant wait to get my hands on a great phone like this HTC Touch Pro:Omio
I wanna write a review but you dont have my sanyo katana lx on your data base
My current cell phone is the LG Chocolate or LG KG800. It has a slim, black, sliding design complemented by extremely slick, glowing red buttons. The phone feels very good in your hands because of its rounded design. It comes with an ok camera at 1.3 MP, can take decent videos, great bluetooth capabilities, and high speed data support (EV-DO). Overall it is a good phone with some minor bugs. This is my first phone and I hope to upgrade to an HTC phone like the Pro in the future.
I was so excited when I got this phone but that was approx 4 years ago and technology has really advanced. If I was writing the features back then anyone would have been thinking ‘wow’ but I don’t think there’s anything that I can really say about this phone that will entice anybody to go and search for one. Plus its discontunued, why am I still using it??? Well I had a Sony Ericsson W850i but somebody stole it from my handbag :-(… So this is my back up phone….There are some good points about the D750 - the main one is that it works and was also attractive to look at although it would have been better in black. Its palm size but the 2.0 camera facility is not very good producing fuzzy pics,it switches itself off at times also and the vibrate alert is also very tempermental, MP3 player was pretty good for the era though - holding up to a max of about 200 tunes…The ease of use was poor but Sony Ericson have advanced on that alot..What more can I say. I’d rather write a review about the HTC Touch HD but I haven’t got one
Thanks for reading my review!!
MOTOROLA V550 GOOD PHONE BUT A BIT DATED NOW
Would love to write a review regarding a mobile phone but I don’t own a mobile yet, just started to research them to find out which one I would like to have.
Hi there… I want to write a review on my i-mate SP3i. Could you possibly add this model to your database please?
i have a sony ericsson. this was chosen for me by my 14 yr old daughter. i asked for a ‘basic’ phone that was easy to use and this is what she came up with. it is easy but more than that. it is small, and trendy. this phone has a flip front and is stylish black and purple. the added bonus is its a walkman, good choice, i like it!
my daughter doesnt have a phone as hers broke so i am entering this competition on the hope that i win it for her.
Hi i have a samsung 600 which is ok but it took a while to get used to the touch buttons. They are very sensitive and when i first got it rang a few people by accident. Am used to it now though and quite like it especially as when i receive some e-mails it replaces words like car with a picture and kisses with lips a neat feature although i’m still not quite sure what i pressed to set this feature up. I am entering this comp because my son has a relly old nokia thats falling apart.
currently have the LG chocolate, I know its pants, only ts a girlie hing t looked nice at the time, and I thought it had everything I needed until I found this site and saw what I could get for my money….a proper service, with the original Touch Pro with its lovely high-res screen, GPS, accelerometer and fantastic slidey-out keyboard. I took one look at my plastic chocolate….and well there is no comparison…it offers the basics and is flimsy to say the least…..
well thats my review…I know if I won this phone I would treasure it.
P.S. great site for info
I currently have a samsung tocco touch screen, ok phone does everything i need it to but the battery life isnt very long at all.
I currently am using the tmobile mda. Battery life is great. Talk time is ok. This phone is very user friendly and not difficult to work. Its a little bulky compared to smartphones being used today, but it works for me. The only downside to this unit is the touch screen. I’ve found that you have to periodically reset the screen so that your taps work correctly.
