Xperia X1 On 3 By Xmas? Xcellent!
Coming in a close second after a Gregory iPhone cosy on our Xmas wish list is a release date for Sony Ericsson’s smartphone, the Xperia X1.
Tech Digest has slid down our chimney and scoffed our cookies by claiming a November ‘08 release date for our current number one handset.
Apparently it was announced as a winter release on 3, however the X1’s presence on other networks is unknown at present. They even go in enough detail to mention it being on a £30 per month tariff. However, they did also say that it was delayed until 2009 way back in March…
Speculation? Maybe, but they could release the X1 on a tariff of £50 and a monthly punch in the groin and we’d still be queueing like they were giving away chocolate-covered iPhones.
This 3G handset comes with HSDPA, a 3 inch touchscreen, a 3.2 megapixel camera and the gorgeous 3 x 3 ‘panel’ interface seen here. Any excuse to link to that video…
Never underestimate the power of Omio getting results. Last week, it was the Omnia being announced by Samsung after we put some pressure on ‘em, now after reminding Sony they had the Xperia X1, here it is! We do it for you.
