Foux du Fafa! Conchords Ringtones And Themes Flying Onto Mobiles!
Mobile content distributor Mobile Streams have recently secured a deal which allows them to put content from some of the best HBO shows onto phones.
Entourage (yay!), Rome (togas!), The Wire (shh!), The Sopranos (hey!), and Sex and the City (Manolos!) will all be covered, with ringtones of the shows’ themes, wallpapers and the like.
As long as they have the epic tune of “Hiphopapotamus vs. Rhymenocerous” from my fave episode of Flight of the Conchords, it’s okay by me. “They call me the Hiphopapotamus, my lyrics are bottomless…………………………..”
Awesome.
Unfortunately, this global distribution agreement doesn’t stretch to the US and Canada, but no matter, they don’t seem to be as into new phones and content as folks this side of the pond.
Is that true? I don’t know. If there are any stray Americans who have ended up here on Omio, let us know in the forums…
